From the oldest distillery on the Isle of Islay arrives this sumptuous Bowmore 18 Year Old, released in The Stories of Wind and Wave Series by The Character of Islay Whisky Company. This series celebrates the rich tradition and dramatic coastal environment within which Islay whisky distilleries have made outstanding drams for hundreds of years. This limited-edition expression is no exception; it was distilled in 2002, is a punchy cask strength 53% abv, and has been hand-selected for its reflection of Bowmore’s signature style. It is free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.

The nose is classic Bowmore, marrying a great deal of smoke and earthy aromas with light, fruity notes of blackberry jam and cinnamon sticks. The palate continues this balance, with hints of blackberry jam, fruitiness, and an oily smokiness. The finish is long, full-bodied, and gives a magnificent rich peatiness. This one will be a story to remember.
